Our patented custom sprocket configurations output varying degrees of torque from motors to equipment depending on application requirements. Customization options include length through bore, hub size, outside diameter, pitch diameter, tooth pitch and number of strands. Sprocket teeth can also be anodized. Pin or clamp hub assembly on request.

Chain Sprockets
Chain sprockets (roller chain sprockets) are the most common type of precision sprocket. They have teeth that interlock with the chain in a chain-and-sprocket drive to provide power transmission.

Row-L-ER Chain Sprockets
These roller chain sprockets are designed to work with Berg’s Row-L-ER® chains, which have the advantage of zero slippage and negligible stretch.

Belt Sprockets
Belt sprockets are designed to run with toothed belts (timing belts) in belt drive systems that require more power than a friction-drive belt, or in applications that benefit from layout flexibility.

3-D Sprockets
3-D sprockets are designed to work with Berg’s Min-E-Pitch® belts, which are zero backlash, quiet and provide three dimensional drive.

Double Sprockets
Double sprockets are designed to run in applications where two roller chain strands are powered by one drive shaft.

Idler Sprockets
Sprockets 19mm (0.75") pitch diameter and smaller are for idler use only.

Silent Chain Sprockets
Berg manufactures made-to-order silent chain sprockets compatible with our molded polyurethane Flex-E-Gear® and Min-E-Pitch® timing belts.

Custom pulley options

Our patented custom pulley and belt configurations generate varying levels of motion in a drive system depending on application requirements. Customization options include counterbores, length through bore, hub size, outside diameter, pitch diameter, keyways, setscrews and tooth pitch. Pulley teeth can also be anodized. Pin or clamp hub assembly on request.

Timing Pulleys
Timing pulleys (timing belt pulleys) maintain accurate timing while drive systems are in operation by engaging the timing belt to prevent misalignment. Timing pulleys have teeth and pockets on the outside diameter and are commonly used to link two shafts in a synchronous drive so they rotate at precisely the same time. Berg can modify standard stock or manufacture completely custom timing belt pulleys to spec.

Grooved Pulleys
Grooved pulleys/cable pulleys are manufactured with varying types of belt grooves (A, B, C, D, E, H, K, L & many others) including multiple grooves. The advantage of multiple grooves is that you can switch the belt or cable to a different groove to modify rotation speed. WM Berg grooved pulleys are available in a clamp hub or pin hub style.

V-Belt Pulleys
V-belt pulleys (aka vee belt pulleys or vee belt sheaves) are a specific type of grooved pulley used with a V-belt to provide high-speed power transmission in a drive system. V-belt pulleys are ideal for applications requiring quiet operation and a high strength-to-weight ratio, but are not suitable for synchronized applications. WM Berg V-belt pulleys come in a pin hub single groove style.

Berg 60° V-belt pulleys for electric motors (aka V-groove pulleys) are compatible with our Pow-R-Vee® belts which offer higher heat resistance and have less inertia than standard belts.

Toothed Belt Pulleys
Berg manufacturers customizable toothed belt pulleys which have teeth on the outer surface designed to run over our Flex-E-Belt®, Flex-E-Grip® and Max-M-Drive® belts.

Ribbed Pulleys
Berg manufactures customizable ribbed pulleys which have grooved ribbing on the outer surface designed to fit our Flex-E-Grip® and Max-M-Drive® belts.

Friction Drive Rollers
Friction drive rollers and round belt pulleys are used with a belt or a belted chain to engage with a drive system using friction. Drive rollers are often used in conveyor systems and other industrial and commercial applications such as paper feeders, packaging machinery and plastic film extrusion. WM Berg friction drive rollers have a wheel made out of 303 stainless steel with a pin hub and a Buna-N elastomer compound tire.

Timing Pulley Bar Stock
WM Berg offers timing pulley bar stock in anodized aluminum, and can accommodate a wide range of pitches, teeth, OD and lengths. Custom timing pulley bar stock is available in imperial or metric sizes.
